Graphic Production Intern
We are looking for a Graphic Production Intern to help us create exciting new designs for museums and other public spaces. This is a 60 to 90-day, paid internship, starting on or around June 1, 2026, and extending to around August 15.
The right candidate will have a team-oriented attitude, graphic design and production skills, and enthusiasm for the job. The candidate will have some demonstrated experience in graphic design. We seek a motivated individual who is not afraid to learn new things and can help us design museum experiences. Our clients for these projects are world-famous museums, zoos, aquariums, and Fortune 500 companies. This in-person position is at Ideum's studios in scenic Corrales, New Mexico (near Albuquerque and an hour from Santa Fe).
The Graphic Production Intern will report to the Experience Design Manager. There will be opportunities to learn more about UI/UX, museum exhibit design, interactive and immersive environments, and other dynamic work in which Ideum is involved. The right candidate is self-motivated, engaged with their teams, and dependable under tight deadlines.
Core Requirements and Duties:
- Demonstrated experience in graphic design and illustration (portfolio, please)
- Fluent in the Adobe Suite and other graphic design and illustration programs
- Knowledge of layout, color, composition, and typography
- Understands how to prepare files for print
- Can work with other designers and team members to create compelling designs
- Upholds Ideum’s standards of design through quality assurance of all creative deliverables from hardware, structural, and application design
- Contributes to the culture and development of Ideum
- Assists Software Developers with spec and QA designs to ensure designs support a facile path to production in software development
- Works collaboratively with Producers, Exhibit Design, VFX, Software Development, Hardware Workshop, Fabrication, and AV Engineering teams
- Demonstrated organizational skills

Extra Credit
- Experience with technical writing and/or copy editing
- Photography and/or video skills
- Knowledge or interest in PC or AV systems
- Experience with content development, and/or science or history-related topics, a plus
- Experience with motion graphics and illustration is a plus

Paid Internship
This is a paid, $18/hour, three-month fixed-term summer internship, onsite at our studio in Corrales, New Mexico.
