Video & Animation Specialist

We are looking for a Video & Animation Specialist who can collaborate with our VFX/Media and Design team. We are looking for someone comfortable behind the camera and can produce high-quality videos and photographs. In addition, the Video & Animation Specialist will work with our exhibit and graphic designers, developers, and producers to contribute to concept designs for the next generation of interactive exhibits. The ability to storyboard, organize shoots and equipment, and conduct complex media productions is important. We work with world-renowned museums, zoos, aquariums, and Fortune 500 companies. The Video & Animation Specialist will report to the VFX/Media group manager. The Video & Animation Specialist should have a good working knowledge of video editing, compositing, animation, post-production, and publishing tasks. We are looking for someone who can capture compelling media and is deeply interested in elevating their animation skills. The candidate must be team-oriented and enthusiastic about upholding Idem’s standards through quality assurance of all creative deliverables, and be self-motivated and dependable under tight deadlines.  This is a full-time, onsite position in Corrales, New Mexico.

Qualifications

  • Relevant Portfolio/Reel
  • Demonstrated camera skills, videography & photography 
  • Demonstrated video and photo editing skills, Adobe Premiere or equivalent
  • Some compositing and 2D animation skills, Adobe AfterEffects or equivalent
  • The ability to plan pre-production and post-production tasks
  • Organizational skills
  • Strong ability to communicate ideas and concepts
  • Detail-oriented
  • A willingness to learn new software and production techniques
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to contribute to documentation and other written materials
  • Highly motivated and self-directed
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills

Benefits and Incentives

$45,000 - $60,000 depending on experience

After 90 days of employment, this position includes paid time off, health, dental, and vision insurance, critical illness and accident insurance, life insurance, and short-term/long-term disability. After one year of employment, employees are eligible for our 401K Safe Harbor Profit Sharing Plan.
